Antique Mariner’s Compass Handmade Quilt

Antique mariners compass quilt. Gorgeous colors of dark green, pinks, browns & reds. The estate I purchased this quilt from told me they believe the quilt top is from 1870 and it remained a ‘topper’ piece until is was completed with its current backing around 1980’s. Beautiful pointed compass patch pieces. A small bit of fraying and a couple of stains – see pics. Overall for the age this is great condition. An heirloom quilt. A large one too at 84″ 108″
